Located
between Bayswater Road in the north and Knightsbridge in
the south lies Hyde Park, perhaps the most famous park in
London. Opened by Her Majesty The Queen on the 6th July
2004 is The Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. The
Memorial is a symbol of Diana's quality and openness. The residence of Her Majesty The Queen is Buckingham Palace which was built in the early 18th century for John Sheffield The Duke of Buckingham. The palace located at the end of The Mall was destroyed by fire in 1809 then rebuilt and extended by King George IV in 1937. The palace has been open to the public since the early 90's.
